In my own experience, I have found that these people come along just when we need them. Whether they stay in our lives for only a brief time, or become our best friend or future husband, their mere presence in our lives will challenge us to grow, to make bold changes, and to follow our true passions. And, if we’re lucky like the main character Natasha in my latest novella, this life-altering person will come in the package of an alluring, sexy stranger like Nicholas Reyes.
When Nicholas swoops into Natasha’s life, she is knee-deep in a failing marriage after a difficult struggle with infertility. She is so attached to the idea of what she once wanted for her life that she has abandoned her true desires, her true self. Nicholas is the flame who comes along and lights her fire again—something we all need from time to time. If you’ve been lucky enough to have one of these people come into your life—welcome or not—and give you the wake-up call you needed to experience life on a deeper level, thank them.
One of my absolute favorite quotes sums up this phenomenon perfectly:

Now, whether or not Nicholas stays in Natasha’s life for a while or storms in like a lightning bolt and simply shakes things up—well, you’ll have to read the story to find out…
About the Author
Juliette Sobanet earned a B.A. from Georgetown University and an M.A. from New York University in France, living and studying in both Lyon and Paris. She worked as a French professor before turning a new page in her career, penning romantic women’s fiction with a French twist.
