Cover Reveal: My Sort-of, Kind-of Hero by Emily Haper

Today we have the pleasure to take part in the cover reveal for Emily Harper‘s ‘My Sort-of, Kind-of Hero’. We are way too excited to read it and it’s no secret we are HUGE fans of Emily’s. We absolutely loved her two previous books ‘White Lies’ and ‘Checking Inn’ and totally recommend them to everyone enjoying a fun read with loads of LOL moments. Ok, now the moment we’ve all being waiting for, the cover and the blurb, YAY!

Etty Lawrence is a bestselling romance author. At least- she would be if she could just get someone to read her books. Apparently, Amazon doesn t consider the 500 books purchased by your mother to be bestseller material. When Etty s given some simple advice from a friend- write what you know- she takes it to heart. But she’s never been in love before, and she doesn’t really have time to fall in love and write a novel at the same time. So, she convinces her slightly unwilling lifelong friend, Travis, to let her follow him around and witness real love, first hand. A third person memoir, if you will. Travis is the perfect hero for her story: he’s funny, smart, and good looking; only there’s one problem. He says all the wrong things. Does any girl really want to talk about the NHL trades? And his jokes would make a kindergarten class roll their eyes. But the worst part is, Travis’s dates laugh at his corny jokes; the jokes he told Etty first. They touch his sweater; the sweater Etty bought him. And the way these women swoon and gush over him…they obviously aren’t leading lady material. Now Etty has to take this love thing into her own hands if she has any hope of writing a bestseller that people other than her mother will buy.

My Sort-of, Kind-of Hero’ will be published by Writers to Authors on August 21st 2014.

A Vera Wang dress, a sophisticated London reception, and a guest list that reads like a society gossip column were all ingredients of Anna Whitehall’s perfect wedding-that-never-was…

Spending the summer uncovering hidden treasures in a vintage shop, Anna can still vividly remember both her childhood dreams; the first was that she’d become a Prima Ballerina, and dance on stage resplendent in a jewel-encrusted tutu. The second was that at her wedding she would walk down the aisle wearing a dress guaranteed to draw a collective gasp from the congregation!

Years ago Anna pirouetted out of her cosy hometown village in a whirl of ambition…but when both of those fairy-tale dreams came crashing down around her satin ballet shoes, she and fiancée Seb find themselves back, their wedding and careers postponed indefinitely…

Don’t they say that you can never go home again? Sometimes they don’t get it right… This one summer is showing Anna that your dreams have to grow up with you. And sometimes what you think you wanted is just the opposite of what makes you happy….

Cover Reveal: The Guestbook by Holly Martin

Yay! It’s THE DAY! Today we’re happy and honored to be joining in with other bloggers and doing a cover reveal for Holly Martin’s The Guestbook.

The Guestbook will be published on Valentine’s Day by Carina UK. Don’t you just love the cover? We’re absolutely in love with it! And here’s the blurb:

Welcome to Willow Cottage – throw open the shutters, let in the sea breeze and make yourself completely at home. Oh, and please do leave a comment in the Guestbook!

As landlady of Willow Cottage, the young widow Annie Butterworth is always on hand with tea, sympathy or strong Norfolk cider – whatever her colourful array of guests require.  A flick through the messages in the leather-bound cottage guestbook gives a tantalizing glimpse into the lives of everyone who passes through her doors.
This includes Annie herself – especially now celebrity crime writer Oliver Black, is back in town. He might grace the covers of gossip magazines with a different glamorous supermodel draped on his arm every week, but to Annie, he’s always just been Olly, the man who Annie shared her first kiss with.
Through the pages of the Guestbook Annie and Olly, along with all the guests that arrive at the seaside retreat, struggle with love, loss, mystery, joy, happiness, guilt…and the odd spot of naked rambling!
Forget sending postcards saying ‘wish you were here’ – one visit to Willow Cottage and you’ll wish you could stay forever.
