Guest post: Christmas comes early for Nicola May

Today we have the pleasure to welcome Nicola May to This Chick Reads. Nicola has recently published her novella ‘Christmas Yves’ (which we will be reviewing soon) and today she’s here to talk about Christmas and getting into a festive mood earlier. Off to you Nicola.

The trouble with being an author and  writing a Christmas novella is that you have to get your head into a sparkly, snowy mood way before the actual event.

However, for someone who loves Christmas this is not a problem at all. I even went out and brought some mince pies and mulled wine whilst writing it to get me in the mood.

‘Christmas Yves’ is a feel good romance full of spiritual message and it actually gave me great joy writing it. A lot of it is based in a homeless shelter in London and I am actually now seriously considering giving up my Christmas Day to help those less fortunate than myself.

We asked Nicola a few festive questions and here is what she said:

 Q. What are you looking forward to most this Christmas?

Taking a whole week off relaxing my brain and hoping it snows!

Q. What’s your favourite Christmas drink?

Like Evie in Christmas Yves, it has to be sherry!

Q. What film do you hope to curl up and watch on Christmas afternoon?

Bridget Jones

Q. Which celebrity would you like to kiss under the mistletoe?

Liam Neeson

Q. If you could spend Christmas anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Thailand
